Summer Teen Career Camps is a unique program offered in partnership by the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of Employment Services’ Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). Teen Career Camps offer an array of innovative programs and activities for teens ages 14 to 19 years old, June 16 to August 22, 2008, in a safe and positive atmosphere.
Through an exciting curriculum, with positive social outreach and prevention programs,
Summer Teen Career Camps* help guide teens to a positive and productive future by helping them make smart and informed life choices. Teens will participate in workshops, educational and cultural activities, exciting field trips, and plenty of opportunities for peer interaction and social bonding. In addition, all campers are required to develop and participate in weekly community services projects.
No fees are charged for these camps as they are operated through the Department of Employment Services’ Summer Youth Employment Program.
