25th Annual DC Golden Olympics – Swimming Hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the DC Office on Aging from May 6 to May 9, 2008, the 25th Annual DC Golden Olympics showcased the physical fitness and athletic prowess of District residents age 50 and over. Seniors competed in such events as track and field, swimming, bowling, tennis, archery, and more.  This year’s games were a qualifying year for the 2009 Summer National Senior Games in San Francisco, CA.
